Because the night - escolha a sua versao preferida

Há um tempo eu fiz uma sequencia com versoes da musica "Summer wine", depois de um tempo coloquei várias versoes do "mad tea party" da Alice... Hoje decidi transformar estas postagens em algo frequente, pelo menos uma vez por mês vou postar sequencias de musicas em varias versoes diferentes.

Como fiquei a semana toda com essa musica na cabeca, a sequencia de hoje é com "Because the night"

A versao original foi gravada por Bruce Springsteen durante a preparacao do álbum Darkness on the Edge of Town. O Patti Smith Group trabalhava em um estudio vizinho, e eles sempre trocavam fitas e letras para musicas. A versao original da musica acabou nao sendo colocada no álbum de Springsteen, Patti Smith entao a reescreveu do ponto de vista feminino e incluiu no seu álbum. Apesar de Because the Night nunca ter sido publicada em nenhum álbum de estudio de Springsteen, ele a tocou várias vezes em shows da banda, sempre com a letra original e o arranjo rock de Smith.
